The information we collect
Information you give us
- When you contact us — for example by emailing us or using a contact form — we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- When you sign up to our newsletter or mailing list (if applicable), we collect your email address and any name you choose to provide.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the Site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information through cookies and similar technologies, including:
- your IP address, browser type and settings, and device information;
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- the pages you view, the links you click, and how you interact with the Site; and
- referring pages and the dates and times of your visits.
We do not operate user accounts on the Site, and we do not collect or process payment card information through the Site.
Cookies and analytics
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. We use:
- Essential cookies, which are needed for the Site to function; and
- Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), which help us understand how visitors find and use the Site so that we can improve it.
Where required by law, we set non‑essential cookies (including analytics cookies) only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw through our cookie banner. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.
How and why we use your information
We use your personal data for the following purposes, relying on the lawful bases set out below.
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
| To respond to your enquiries and communicate with you | Our legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us) |
| To operate, maintain, and secure the Site | Our legitimate interests (running our business safely) |
| To understand how the Site is used and to improve it (analytics) | Your consent (for non‑essential cookies) |
| To send you our newsletter or marketing emails (if you have signed up) | Your consent |
| To comply with our legal obligations | Compliance with a legal obligation |
| To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims | Our legitimate interests (protecting our rights) |
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time — for example by adjusting your cookie settings or by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers (processors) who act on our instructions and help us run the Site, such as our website hosting provider, our analytics provider, and our email or newsletter delivery provider;
- Professional advisers (such as lawyers or accountants) where necessary;
- Authorities or other third parties where we are required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property; and
- A successor organisation if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data receives an appropriate level of protection — for example, by relying on UK "adequacy" regulations for the relevant country, or by putting in place a recognised transfer mechanism such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this Policy, and to meet any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. In general:
- enquiry and correspondence data is kept for up to [e.g. 24 months] after our last contact with you;
- newsletter sign‑up data is kept until you unsubscribe; and
- analytics data is retained for [e.g. 14 months] in line with our analytics settings.
When we no longer need your personal data, we will securely delete or anonymise it.
How we protect your information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please take care over the information you choose to send us, particularly by email.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing of your data in certain circumstances;
- request the transfer of your data to you or another provider (data portability); and
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
We do not carry out automated decision‑making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
To exercise any of these rights, please email hello@rapideyemovers.com. We will respond within one month, although we may extend this where a request is complex. There is normally no charge.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@rapideyemovers.com and we will take steps to delete it. (Please note that our individual games may carry their own age ratings, such as PEGI ratings.)
Third‑party links
The Site may contain links to third‑party websites and services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where required by law.
